Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services is proud to provide the Los Angeles community with a transformative opportunity for children with special needs, including Autism, to enroll in its state of the art Vista Inspire Program, under the esteemed leadership of celebrated educator and feature film studio coach, Elaine Hall (“Coach E”), as profiled in the HBO Emmy Award winning documentary “Autism: The Musical,”

Founded on the revolutionary Miracle Project principles, which develops and amplifies the child’s individual ability within their perceived disabilities, The Vista Inspire Program offers a synergistic and life affirming curriculum for children and their families in the areas of music, dance, visual art, theater, sports and recreation, Jewish education, healthy lifestyle programs for parents, and integrated social events.

Vista Del Mar serves more than 6,000 children in Southern California annually.  The agency includes four divisions that serve children with Autism Spectrum Disorder: the Baron School for Exceptional Children at the Julia Ann Singer Center, the Vista School, the Reiss Davis Child Study Center and Vista’s Inspire Program. The Vista Inspire Program is customized and designed to foster growth and development in the core areas of socialization, spirituality, creativity and experiencing a deep and nourishing sense of joy for children of all abilities and the families who love them.

The Vista Inspire Program has been featured in various news pieces by KABC Channel 7, Jewish Journal, KTTV Channel 11, and Jewish Life Television (JLTV).  The Vista Inspire Program also launched a teen group, Inspired Teens (IT) that strives to make a difference and enrich the lives of kids with special needs.  “Inspired Teens” fundraises, hosts events, and programs intended to connect the lives of teens of all abilities and to raise awareness in their community.

The Nes Gadol program as seen on Time Warner and CNN and supported by the Jewish Community Foundation, is a cutting edge multi-sensory dynamic program innovated to provide young participants with a sacred space in order to cultivate a deeper understanding of their own Jewish identity and connection to their religious community by means of the exploration of Jewish concepts, values, traditions, and laws.

Continuing this Winter

  • Nes Gadol classes for 6-8 year old students.
  • After school socialization and sports and recreation classes

According to Stephen M. Shore, EdD, Professor of Education at Adelphi University, “By focusing on strengths and what people with autism can do, the ‘Miracle Project’ approach single-handedly blasts away the myths of deadened emotions and desire for relationships with others,” states Shore. “Beyond just educational, this life-transforming series must be experienced by all supporting those with autism to lead fulfilling and productive lives to their greatest potential.”
