Nes Gadol Classes

Nes Gadol Bar/Bat Mitzvah Project: A cutting edge multi‐sensory, Creative, dynamic Bar/Bat Mitzvah program designed for children with autism and other special needs.

Ages: 9 and up

When: Mondays‐3:30pm‐5:00pm

Sundays‐Please call for more information

Cost: $800 per year (September‐June) (plus $96 registration fee‐new students only)

Nes Gadol Confirmation Class: A socialization and self‐advocacy program based on Jewish text for teens to continue to expand their Jewish experience and knowledge of prayer, ethics, core values, practice, and holidays. They will explore Pirke Avot, and Tikkun Olam, “Repairing the World and ‘Acts of Loving Kindness”. Develop friendships, social skills, and personal responsibility.

Ages: 13 and up

When: Mondays‐3:30pm‐5:00pm

Cost: $800 per year (September‐June) (plus $96 registration fee‐new students only)

Nes Gadol for 6‐8 year olds of All Abilities: Dynamic, multi sensory, socialization experiences while exploring Jewish Culture, music and dance.

When: Wednesdays 3:30‐4:30pm

Miracle Theater- Level 1 Acting, Singing, Dancing and Social Skills
Ages: 9 and up
When: Mondays‐5:30pm‐6:45pm

Cost: $875 per year plus $100 materials fee (Includes; 2 show tickets, 1 t‐shirt and 1 final DVD)

Actress Julia Ormand, whose compassionate portrayal of Temple
Grandin’s mother in the HBO film won the world’s hearts.

By now I am sure you have all heard the wonderful news:

The HBO film, Temple Grandin, starring Julia Ormond as Eustacia Cutler (Temple Grandin’s Mom) and Claire Danes as Temple Grandin, Won 5 EMMY’s LAST NIGHT!

And…Julia Ormond will be here at Vista Del Mar on November 18^th at our conference to present Eustacia Cutler The Baron Inspiration Award!

They will both discuss what was entailed in making the HBO film.

Eustacia will be our Keynote Speaker and inspiring parents with her amazing story raising Temple Grandin. Ms. Cutler always believed in her child, even when the experts told her other wise.

This is a once in a lifetime event not to be missed. Ms. Cutler is based in NYC and rarely travels west, so we are especially honored to have her at our conference.

Let’s come together to celebrate and support the Vista Inspire Program (VIP) (www.vistainspireprogram.com), a local life affirming and enriching program for children with autism, those with other special needs, and their families who too often are separated from their communities based on lack of understanding, services, resources, and the added burden of excessive financial stresses.

The Vista Inspire Program, founded on the principles of The Miracle Project, is a program of the Julia Ann Singer Center at Vista Del Mar and serves our community in Los Angeles. The VIP is under the leadership of “Coach E”, Elaine Hall, whose boundless commitment to children was the cinematic focus of the two time Emmy
Award winning HBO documentary, AUTISM: THE MUSICAL

PRACTICE WITH PURPOSE: DONATION BASED CLASSES The evening will begin with an all-levels yoga class taught by Yoga Works’ teacher, Mia Togo.

Enjoy amazing cuisine provided by Native Foods Café after class, followed by a raffle and trunk show featuring pieces created by local artisans.

The first 80 yogi’s will be given free G2 Lifestyles mats.

About the Play:
A group of kids head off to sleep away camp and embark on
a walkabout with their counselors. After they get lost in the
woods, they must apply their knowledge of nature and use
their ingenuity to find their way back to Camp Miracle.

Feinstein’s Dreams

About the Play:
Every night, Master Dreamweavers inspire positive images into
children’s dreams. Feinstein, an Apprentice Dreamweaver, just
can’t seem to spin upbeat dreams. With the help of her friends,
she gains the confi dence needed to become a Master.

Miracle Theater: The Miracle Theater program is a musical theater and film program for children of all abilities and is fully inclusive, which offers dancing, singing, acting, theater, and social skills. Miracle Theater is based on the principles of The Miracle Project profiled in the two time Emmy award winning documentary, AUTISM: THE MUSICAL.

Miracle Improvisation offers classes for children with autism and other special needs in acting, games, fun, and social skills. We also offer an advanced Acting, Singing, Dancing and Social Skills class. Each year students write and perform an original musical. Participants will have the opportunity to perform throughout Los Angeles. Last year, students performed at The United Nations and at events with Autism Speaks, TACA, and more.
